Probably start by sticking your bottom lip out more. So it’s more in front of your teeth than behind it.
See how that goes and if it works for you. You want to build a new habit to replace the old one. If you don’t like that embouchure, you might just want less pressure but something similar to how you play now.
You can also use a technique prescribed by the embouchre expert, Joe Allard. When you place the mouthpiece into your embouchre, say the letter “X” instead of “V” or “F” to set up the proper placement of the bottom lip and the amount of pressure the bottom lip exerts on the reed. I do this evey time. Before I blow into the mouthpiece I say “X” , “X”, “X” three times. The goal is to exert the least amount of pressure in the reed that will allow it to vibrate more freely.
Thanks Donny
can I playing saxophone with out top teeth feeling lost
Yes, you can. That’s not how I play, but it’s a way others do. Look up “double embouchure” for saxophone.
