Take 5 is one of my all time favorite jazz pieces. This performance is absolutely classical. I have been listening to and playing this piece for over 30 years and I still get chills everytime I hear Desmond play it. It is great.

Hey Neal, First off ; Ijust found your site …..and you seem to me to be a cool guy. Ive been playing sax off and on for a number of years . I like you started with clarinet but I couldnt wait to get my hands on a sax(tenor). Life got in the way I stopped for a while and now I have an alto. Sorry for the short Bio……but Im crazy about Paul Desmond and I agree “Take Five” is an all time classic.

Cool, thanks for visiting. I just got an alto recently. And then a couple months later I was given another one, an old Buescher that needed some repairs.
Do you have a few Paul Desmond recordings then? I saw his stuff at Amoeba the other day when I was getting some music, but wasn’t sure which ones would be best.
