How do I effectively make using of the full range of the sax in soloing instead of just staying in the middle or sounding like I’m jumping from high to low?

Has been playing on and off for 5 years last two been more off than on, but starting again. Has been asked to join a friends band, he’s a DJ and want sax and violin in his mixes.
Has only learned a little music by ear, most is written.
My response:
You asked about using the full range of the saxophone.
One thing that would help is to transcribe solos, learn solos by ear from sax players who use the whole range and you’ll get a better idea of how to do that.
Start by working on more music by ear. You may want to begin with melodies and then move into learning solos as it becomes more comfortable.
Thanks
