The beginning of JS Bach’s Toccata and Fugue. Played on tenor sax here. Alto sax notes below the video.
The first three notes are a major second down and back up to the starting note.
Try playing it in some different keys and throw it into a solo on Halloween if you’re up to it!
Correction for tenor/soprano notes:
The last note should be an E
Alto Sax:
F# E F#
E D G B Bb B
F# E F#
G D A# (Bb) B
So you could start at high F# if that feels comfortable. Or you could start on the F# at the top of the staff, that means you’ll go down to low Bb though.
