How to play the first notes on saxophone. B through F chromatically. Seven notes.
The mid range is easier to play on saxophone than the highest and lowest notes. These notes are taught chromatically. Adding a ‘#’ (sharp) to a note raises it by a half step. Adding a ‘b’ (flat) to a note lowers it by a whole step. The chromatic scale is what you would hear if you play the notes on a piano in order with both the white keys and black keys.

Good luck Neal,
Hope you win in the sax solo contest.
I’ve seen your solo, Great! I suggest play around a little bit with the Blue Note.
Neal says
Thanks Wan, yep, that’s probably a good idea, I was talking to someone about that the other day actually, using the blue note more.

All the best Neal..

This lesson was about cleaning the sax, taking it out and putting it back after playing. This was a great lesson for maintaining the horn and keeping it clean.
Thanks

Also, learning the fingering and playing he notes was a great start for me as well. I look forward to my next lesson. This is great because it allows me to study in between classes with my Master’s in legal studies. Great job with this opportunity of learning at your own pace.

Neal, thanks for the tip. I already try it and felt better control of my finger. Will add this routine to my daily practice schedule.
