Got this question on my video with the mid range notes for alto sax.

Hey, why do we need flat and sharp notes on an alto sax?

I know it sounds stupid lol

but i just want to know why we cant just have regular notes CDEFGAB you know

For example, if we have B, why is it necessary to also use A sharp or flat
