Hi Neal,
I have not tried flying with a sax yet however a friend of mine had a slight problem with carrying his alto on the airline. Although he was supposed to be allowed to carry it with him, it being a musical instrument and all, he had to check it in because it exceeded the size limits set by the airline for carry on baggage.
Thanks for sharing Joe, sorry to hear that happened. Sometimes the laws and rules change. It’s good to check carefully beforehand.
